Industrial rope access is the technical term for working at height using rope access technique – no scaffolding, no aerial work platform, directly on the rope. I use this technique for fall protection, building cleaning, site supervision and special technical operations.
Industrial rope access (also known as rope access technique or rope access) provides access to hard-to-reach parts of buildings and structures – secured on redundant rope systems, without having to erect scaffolding or hire an aerial work platform. In many cases this saves time and money, especially for isolated jobs or hard-to-reach areas such as domes, towers or tall facades.

Risk analysis, inspection of existing safety systems and concrete protective-measure recommendations – documented as a legally sound hazard assessment in accordance with DGUV.
More in Detail ↓As a Level 3 (FISAT) rope-access technician, I oversee compliance with DGUV Information 212-001, DGUV Rule 112-198 and TRBS 2121-3, check PPE on site and intervene immediately in hazardous situations.

I analyze the risks on site, inspect existing safety systems and give concrete recommendations for protective measures – based on a risk matrix of probability and severity of damage, documented as a hazard assessment in accordance with DGUV, which you can present if needed.
As a Level 3 rope-access technician acting in a supervisory role, I take on the technical leadership for work with fall potential, oversee compliance with regulations, and can intervene immediately in the event of danger.
When other trades are working at height on your property, I take on the safety oversight as a neutral, independent party – including PPE checks and site-specific briefing directly at the job site.
Even specialized work using tools at height – for example on mobile phone masts with a magnetic drill – can be carried out safely via rope access, without a crane or aerial work platform. Trade-specific work is carried out in cooperation with specialist contractors.
Domed, sloped or particularly inaccessible structures such as a digester tower require custom rope routing – here, an inclined cableway that makes it possible to safely reach otherwise barely accessible spots on the domed top.
Access & Supervision is one of 16 services. The most important complement, plus all others at a glance:
Planning, installation, maintenance and annual inspection of ABS systems.

Go to Service OverviewYes, when carried out professionally. Work is always done with two independent safety systems – if one fails, the other holds. That's standard practice for every job, not the exception.
Above all for isolated jobs, short-notice needs, or hard-to-reach or unusually shaped structures where scaffolding would be uneconomical or not even feasible. For very long jobs at the same spot over several weeks, scaffolding can be the more sensible choice instead.
In Germany, a recognized qualification under the FISAT levels (1–3) is standard, supplemented by regular further training and the annual competent-person inspection of personal protective equipment. More on this on the About Me page.
For very long jobs at the same spot, large-scale material transport, or when several trades need to work in the same spot at the same time, scaffolding or an aerial work platform is often the more suitable solution. During the initial consultation, I give an honest assessment of what makes sense for your project.
Yes, for larger jobs a team of qualified industrial rope-access technicians can be coordinated as needed – I remain your consistent point of contact for planning and supervision throughout.
Let's talk about your project.
